The client was looking to take a run-down and darkened space and create an office headquarters conducive to the efficient running of a modern business. Finding access to natural light was key to the success of this project. One way this was achieved was by good positioning of a new skylight over a glass floor panel to allow daylight to flood both the open plan space as well as the lower ground floor offices below.
With the addition of a new mezzanine level, the open plan office space is able to be zoned for different purposes. This project now sits just as comfortably as ever in its urban environment, with a few more contemporary comforts.
